Musical Fountain Art Coming!

Friends of the Musical Fountain has commissioned former ArtPrize® winner Chris LaPorte to create a commemorative art work to mark the 60th anniversary of the Grand Haven Musical Fountain. Chris is known for his “monumental” works, primarily pencil sketches, as you can see in his Grand Prize winning work - “Cavalry”, measuring 8 ft. by 28 ft. The Musical Fountain art will be a pencil sketch specifically created to capture the history of the fountain, primarily in black & white with the Musical Fountain in full color. The photo above is from the first Musical Fountain show, May 30, 1963, and will serve as the inspiration for the commissioned work!

This exciting art work will be unveiled in a private ceremony on June 23, 2022
